Jeez, it’s been way to long since I’ve last posted. Anyways, I just heard this tune for the first time about 5 minutes ago and had to stop what I was doing to post it. I always love hearing a new take on the 140 bpm tempo, not to say this is an absolutely NEW take on it, but it is different than the usual sounds. Taiki & Nulight have been experimenting with a lot of house sounds in their music lately, and I can’t say I’ve been in love with all of it, but this tune is just awesome in every aspect. They bring a very ambient sound, similar to Riskotheque and Marchmellow’s remix of Truth’s Don’t Explain – a very noteworthy tune if you haven’t heard it already. But along with this ambience they elevate the usual kind of swaying tempo of dubstep with their 4 to the floor drums, which in my mind is the reason this tune stood out to me so much. It really combines the feelings of classic, funk and jazz influenced, house music with the deeper sounds of dubstep. Check Don’t Go Away out below, no news on the release date, but the again it was only announced 12 hours ago on their soundcloud. Enjoy!
I can’t get over this one. It’s been announced for a while now and (like every track forthcoming on Benga Beats) it’s taking its fucking time to release!!! Taiki & Nulight seriously kill it with Dirty Habit, and bring an absolutely filthy sound into the mix. I can’t say that there are too many songs (aside from Giant Orbs) that I am looking forward to this much. I’m not even gonna try to describe the weight on this one, just listen below and get ready to wait patiently for its release! Big up to Taiki & Nulight for this one, huge things comin’ from the both of them!
If this huge half hour mix spun by the one and only Vodex doesn’t get your ass up and moving there is seriously something wrong with you. Vodex really took advantage of the UK ”4 to the floor” style of dubstep on this one which I LOVE, nothing gets people going like some dancy melodic bass and beats. Not to mention it all mixes damn near perfectly. Finally the halftime weighty bass makes its presence known at the end. This is the stuff that really gets our hearts here at Ganjaology pumping. Big up to the VODEX!
These guys are sick. I first heard them about six months ago when Dream tweeted about their free EP that they had released. Their track “Defate” first introduced me to their signature heavy sound. Then while watching an episode of Get Darker TV I watched them spin a very energetic, fun, heavy set and I was instantly hooked. Their track “Bad Habbit” is set to release of off Benga’s new label cleverly named Benga Beats, and its a big one. Bad Habbit has been smashing dance floors and and booming over the english radio, now it’s ready to bless the public! Check out this tune:
