FreQ Nasty – Bass Nerd Mixtape Vol 3: Trapped In Dub
FreQ Nasty dropped the third edition of his Bass Nerd Mixtape series at the beginning of the new year and appropriately titled it TRAPPED IN DUB. As you can imagine, this mix contains songs that all share similar qualities of being extra dubby while maintaining that poppin’ 808 sound. The track list is super heady, Check it out! It’s impossible not to vibe to this mix.

Scion AV presents: 12th Planet – The End is Near EP
This week 12th Planet teams with Scion AV to release his jaw dropping EP, The End is Near. Featuring some of the biggest names in the game, guest artists include Skrillex, Kill the Noise, Flinch, Antiserum, and SPL. Keep your ears open for these drops will surely haunt the dance halls this year.

Porter Robinson – Spitfire LP
Skrillex’s new Label OWSLA put’s out it’s first release with Porter Robinson’s Spitfire LP. I was mostly expecting to hear some Electro House, Dubstep, and maybe even some Progressive House; I was very wrong. Well I guess I wasn’t completely wrong cause there is some Dubstep and some Electro House on there but never did I expect that there would be Moombahton! Although it is labeled as Electro House on Beatport it is at 108-110 BPM and the overall sounds are of Moombahton. The songs are very similar to Skrillex’s Reptiles Theme, they have a very dark and heavy Electro sound but have that Moombahton vibe, a perfect example is Downlink’s remix of 100% In The Bitch (Listen below). Also worth noting is another Knife Party track is featured on the LP with their remix of Unison. I won’t say this is my favorite release ever but it’s worth checking out and overall a nice change of pace. Have a listen to the songs below and buy em on Beatport! So crazy to think that he is only 19… anyways big ups to Porter Robinson for his new LP!!
