Bryzergold – Launch (FREE DL!)

Orlando, FL, dubstep heavyweight Bryzergold is bringing the deep eerie vibes with this one!  Launch is his new track that’s being released FOR FREE through Sub-Bass Productions.  This song has got classic Bryzergold wobble that’s captivated people form the South East, all the way to South London, only this time Bryzergold has got a sub line that really carries the weight of this heavy tune, Launch.  I’m loving the sound he’s crafted with this tune and the hard work he’s been putting into the Orlando scene.  Check out his Soundcloud for more free downloads, mixes, and previews of what’s to come from the young producer!  Big ups!

Artist Highlight – Animal Laughter

Kissimmee, Florida, is a place that I have heard of, a place I have passed through while riding the Amtrak from Tampa to Orlando many times, a place I have heard stories of, and also a place that sits in my head as an economically broken and beaten southern city that has very little left to offer. Or, that’s what I thought until I recently heard the beautiful and intriguing bass music of Animal Laughter.  With a style that would sit nicely on the West Coast, Animal Laughter is coming with a very smooth, sexy, 808 driven sound that you can play in any setting.  I can imagine hearing his tunes in a club setting…at a nice lounge style lunch restaurant on the beach…on one of my favorite mix cd’s on a long road trip…this cat is really versatile.  The two tracks that stick out to me the most are his Color Motion tunes (the original mix and 808 edit).  These are just downright sexy tunes meant for a bedroom.  The 808 edit of Color Motion has got that new juke bassline and you guessed it, that 808 drum kit that just smacks! I don’t have too much more to say about Animal Laughter, except you should definitely show some love for the Florida resident who is bringing positivity back to his town, and stay tuned for more coming from this youngin’.

Ted Dibiase – Tezo (Banditz Remix)

Cleveland creates talent.  It might not KEEP talent, but it does indeed create it.  That is going to be lesson of the year.  Banditz have produced yet another speaker blowing tune. This time however, it’s a remix Tezo’s (Cleveland’s hottest up and coming rap artist) Ted Dibiase.  For those of you who don’t know who Ted Dibiase is, he is the WWE superstar (from the 90′s) who goes by the name “The Million Dollar Man”.  How could you not want to be Ted Dibiase?   With the exception of Paradise, none of Banditz other tracks feature a vocals as a prevelant part of their songs.  I must say…I really like the change of pace with this song.  The swung beat with Tezo’s energy on top of the track leaves you in a blissful state for a couple minutes.  They put in a lot of work on this remix, and it really shows.  It seems they really might be learning a few things at school!  THEY BE STUNTIN! STUNTIN! STUNTIN! STUNTIN! This track goes hard.  Bump it and show Banditz and Tezo some love!

Capitol Letters – Smoking My Ganja

Here is one of my all time favorite reggae tracks (and not just because of the name!), Smoking My Ganja, by Capitol Letters, a late 70′s UK roots band that released the track in 1979.  This is, without doubt, one of the most classic and inspirational tunes to come out of the UK roots scene.  This reminds me of a crisp January morning in St. Petersburg, Florida, when I decided to get up bright and early, bust out my boombox, grab my canoe, and go enjoy a spliff on the water of Tampa Bay while watching the sunrise.  This particular morning a group of dolphins decided to grace me with their presence and not only swim and play near to my canoe, but even speed underneath me.  It was almost as if they knew I wouldn’t mind the company and energy they had to bring to the morning.  The purple and pink sunrise on the warm dark blue sea,  the silhouette of palm trees on the shoreline,  with dolphins by my side, Capitol Letters on the boombox, and a spliff in my mouth.  Needless to say, it was a magical start to the day.
