Dub Phizix and Skeptical feat Strategy – Marka
This video is sick nasty! Simple, stimulating, and very emotional.
Culture Shock – Protection

Forthcoming off of RAM Records on October 10th, Culture Shock puts out this bouncy and very smooth tune, Protection, featured on his new EP (Protection / Ohrwurm). This song has a lot of really cool intricacies and just embodies an overall relaxed sound. James Pountney (Culture Shock) does an awesome job of adding in Progressive House elements while keeping an overall traditional DnB sound with Protection. Definitely check out more of Culture Shock’s releases on RAM and be sure to keep an eye out for the EP on the 10th.
Camo & Krooked – Feel Your Pulse
Camo & Krooked seem to be in the spotlight of the DnB community with all of their huge releases as of lately. Breezeblock and All Fall Down got a lot of attention but I think their best release from the past few months would have to go to Feel Your Pulse. The song is filled with spacey synths and heaaaavy bass, really reminds me of songs like Space Time and No Problem. The song has been featured on the Drum and Bass Arena Podcast (which was this weeks competition answer that won me the DNBA shirt!! Check it out on the 9/9/11 podcast at 26:00) and Drum and Bass Arena Evolution. Big up to Camo & Krooked for this one, can’t wait to get my hands on their album, Cross The Line, coming up on October 3rd. Also if you don’t subscribe to Drum & Bass Arena’s podcast already ya best get on that!!!
Enei – Stonehead EP

There are many different types of DnB, from the minimal sounds of Liquid Drum & Bass to the more intense bass filled Drum & Bass; all of which have their own sound, but with the more minimal based Drum & Bass one can relax more than with the more bass emphasized DnB. Enei’s new EP Stonehead brings some very chilled out minimal DnB that seems to parallel the smooth relaxed rhythms of Deep House while still bringing the heavy tribal like drums of DnB. My favorite song off the EP would have to be the title song Stonehead. The song reminds me of several things such as the real, classic Dubstep sounds from artists like Loefah and Skream. Overall an amazing EP, make sure to check out all the songs and buy it on Beatport!!
