Darj – Passenger EP
I can’t say I’ve heard much of the French producer, Darj, in the past, but he is definitely on my radar as of now! He’s got an incredibly deep, tribal, dubstep, EP entitled PASSENGER, coming out on the British record label Tribe12 Music on March 25th. This EP is DEEEEP. Every track is laced with an intricate display of percussion and heavy bass lines that are definitely not missing any low frequency’s. My favorite of the EP is, without a doubt, Southfields Riddim. Tracks that carry a classic dubby vibe always hit my soul in the proper way. Big ups Darj and Tribe12 Music! We’re looking forward to the release of PASSENGER.
Copywrite – June (Produced By RJD2)
My Itunes was on shuffle all evening and a few songs popped up that had really gotten buried in my collection of tunes. One I had to playback and that definitely carries some good old school memories with it is June, by Copywrite and RJD2. RJD2 and Copywrite were both huge influences in the style of music I was listening to growing up, and to this day their tunes have still not been played out. June is a long song and carries some heavy energy with it. Enjoy the build ups and break downs of this classic hip-hop track.
Cessman – Inner Vibes EP [Dubliminal Records Apr. 8th]
April 8th is going to mark the release of an absolutely massive EP from the UK’s, Cessman. The name of this EP is Inner Vibes, and it couldn’t feel more appropriate to have such a chilled out name. This EP has got nothing BUT positive vibes! As you may have already read in the title, it’s going to be released through Cessman’s own label, Dubliminal Records, and consists of four very inspiring, dubby, tracks that are very similar in the sense that they’re all awesome and will DEFINITELY make you glad you’ve got a sub, but at the same time the patterns and sounds throughout each song are very different, ultimately leaving you (the listener) with a non-repetative 4 track EP that’s gonna make the neighbors cranky. Big ups Cessman! We’re looking forward to Inner Vibes!
GetDarkerTV #120 – OM UNIT, JAY 5IVE & KROMESTAR
This is one of my favorite GetDarker TV episodes featuring OM UNIT, JAY 5IVE, and KROMESTAR. #120 is from almost exactly a year ago, and let me tell you, all three of these bass madmen bring hella chilled out mellow and deep sets to the GetDarker studio!
