We gotta say big ups to the homies over in Cleveland, THA GEEKS!  They’ve been hard at work over the last couple years…from traveling the world…to keeping the positive beats flowing out of CLE…to assuming the large roll of keeping proper greenery around…they’re definitely putting in the work to keep a buzz.  This track in particular, Tip Toe, catches my attention because of how well everything throughout ALL of the production flows.  From the catchy lyrics to the smooth screwed video to the incredibly beautiful beat…this tracks an underground banger, and 100% original.  You’ll be seeing these cats around…make sure you say what up!

This Saturday, May 11th, will mark the day of a celebration of one of the most sacred plants on earth, Cannabis.  This march has taken place for many years in the past, however this year is particularly special.  It is the first year that the Cannabis Freedom March, is indeed, taking place in a state where Cannabis is LEGAL.  With the recent passing of I-502, and the simultaneous legalization in Colorado, the end of 2012 made history as the most positive event to happen regarding drug policy reform in the US.

On Saturday at 11am in Volunteer Park, Capitol Hill, Seattle, join as the city makes a two-mile march that will head down to West Lake park accompanied by live bands and a hearse which is representative of the “Death Of Prohibition”.  There will be live music and guest speakers from around the state at the starting and ending point of the parade.

If you voted for I-502 and have any involvement with the cannabis culture or are just plain interested in learning more about it, then join Ganjaology and a massive crew of others as we celebrate this weekend.

There is definitely NOT a lack of bass music to be stoked about this week in Seattle.  Tonight  Damn Son and Bassdrop Music have teamed up to bring you one of the East Coast’s hottest underground producers, BUKU, straight from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  Having spent the last year getting his name out to the world, Buku will be showing Seattle exactly how the East gets down.  With support from artists such as Diplo, Kastle, and Starkey…this is definitely not the last you’ll hear of Buku.

New sounds from the Swedish bass lord, Liquid Stranger!

I’m so glad to post that the amazing electronic producer is back to his roots. I talked to him briefly in orlando after his show at Bliss Ultra Lounge about a year ago and we got to talking about the heavy stuff he had been producing versus the deeper side of things that he first started out with.  He explained how he loved all of the heavy Dubstep/DnB however  his “true passion” lied within the deep, reggae infused music. It seems that he’s making that move back now.

This ambient slow groove reminds me of his stuff off of Intergalactic Slapstick except slowed down quite a bit. This guy’s production is so full. He truly paints a picture with all of the rainforest like noise, meanwhile having an awesome song on top of it. Check the new Liquid stranger titled “Sorb”, it’ll have you in a nice chilled state. Massive ups to Liquid Stranger as always!

Really been vibin’ this video. The track is taken from a collection of remixes of Bonobo’s recent album Black Sands. Machinedrum spins magic with the edit, while illustrator Anthony Shepard feeds our minds with incredible visuals. Bless…

There have been a lot of percussive, conscious beats playing around the clock at the Ganjaology cave thus far in 2013.  From the first drum knock in Tokimonsta’s single, The Force, featuring Kool Keith, this song was an instant winner in my mind.  It’s got a bass line that’s a single note, riding subtly, yet strong, throughout the whole track, and powerful lyrics spoken on top of the beat by Kool Keith.  Please step back and listen to the energy and messages being passed on to you.

A couple weeks ago Bryzergold (Orlando, Florida) put out a devastating tune that goes by the name of BASHED.  This track is pure evil.  In a good way.  It’s not too hard to guess where he got the name from…

Now on to the VIP…which I’ve got to say is my favorite.  Deemed took the wobbles, tweaked em out a little bit, ditched the sample all together, and turned this track into an all out rhythmic party.
