Distance – Broken Dawn / Andromeda
Distance never ceases to amaze me. No news on when these are coming out but they’ve just been added to his soundcloud so hopefully it won’t be too long. You can tell that each tune s a Distance track, however they are very different. Broken Dawn has a much more minimal feel to it (and must be listened to on proper headphones/spakers), while Andromeda features a bit more of a loud and distorted sound, which is fair to expect in most Distance tracks. Can’t wait to get my hands on these, biggggg up Distance!!
Savage Rehab – Step Inside / Neck Funk
Haven’t posted up one from these guys in a while, but if you haven’t been keeping up to date with them, get on that!! As always Savage Rehab smashes it with a blend of old school sounds and the latest of DnB. Neck Funk has a very upbeat vibe to it, and is perfect for brightening up your day if you’re still experiencing gray weather like we are here in Cleveland. Step Inside on the other hand brings a bouncy sound that is sure to get you moving. Both of these will be out hopefully soon on their Saxxon EP on V Recordings. As always, big up to Savage Rehab!!
Compa – Kalindi / Antact
Super dark vibes comin’ from Compa on this one. A majority of what I’ve been listening to lately has been minimal dubstep, it can get semi-repetitive due to the slight similarity in percussion, yet Compa always brings something new to the scene. Antact has his classic gritty sound but also brings in a upbeat drum sequence that’ll definitely get your head bobbing. Really hope this one gets a digital release, but will for sure be forthcoming on vinyl soon. Keep your eyes peeled for this one.
The Upbeats – Diffused
Big one coming from The Upbeats (AKA Crushington)! Wasn’t sure the path that this track would take when I first heard it building, but I couldn’t have been more satisfied with it as it broke down into an incredibly smooth yet intense vibe. Diffused has been getting a ton of support from the likes of Noisia, Drum & Bass Arena, UKFDnB, and many others so when it gets released next week it will definitely be getting plays by your local Drum & Bass DJ’s left and right.
