When attempting to roll out of bed moments before showing up to a Decibel party, planning to casually purchase a ticket at the door; I learned some things. First, everything in Seattle sells out. So I had to figure that one out, which left me in the street. But also that the Indian influence is running deep and there’s nothing to do but get down and dance. Since they started together over a decade ago, Portland based duo – DJ Anjeli and the Incredible Kid  - have been serving up international urban beats and that uber fresh Bhangra sound on a massive scale. Check out this mix by The Kid and you can imagine the vibe outside Neumos where the sidewalk was jumpin with weirdos and show goers.The bass is bumping through the wall and there’s a clear view of the stage through the back door, which is guarded by a dude that could either break you in half, or was twice your size, and… could break you in half. Well because the peoples could not get tickets with which to enter the dance hall, the peoples resorted to dancing in the streets. Of course I was a part of the party outside the party, but don’t fret friends… my inner party would not allow me not to party my way into the party. So partied I did.
